ROUND TABLE "ARCHAEOLOGY IN ASTURIAS WITH A WOMAN'S NAME".

Archeology in Asturias with a woman's name

THURSDAY 7 MARCH at 6:30 PM

In the framework of International Women's Day, this museum wants to celebrate it with a round table to highlight the role of women in the field of archaeology. In recent decades, thanks to the scientific work carried out by different women, there has been a female advance towards equality and participation in the profession in a broad sense.

The round table will be moderated by the director of the museum María Antonia Pedregal Montes and will include the participation of four archaeologists whose ages and professional careers will provide a broad view of all these issues:

 Otilia Requejo Pagés, Director of Cultural Heritage of the Church, archaeologist with a long career in Asturias and who has also held the position of General Director of Heritage.

 Margarita Fernández Mier, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Oviedo and archaeologist.

 Esperanza Martín Hernández, professional archaeologist

 Cristina López Tascón, PhD in Prehistory and postdoctoral researcher
