IV CYCLE OF TEACHING WORKSHOPS THE ROMANS AND US. AUTUMN 2024

 

The Archaeological Museum, in collaboration with the University of Oviedo, premieres educational workshops on ancient Rome. The Romans and Us will cover different aspects of ancient culture through free activities for children and adults. Organized by Silvia Tantimonaco, researcher at the Department of Classical and Romance Philology of the University of Oviedo.

 

Program

Saturday, October 19. Children's workshop The papyrus factory. Participants between 7 and 11 years old. How to make papyrus leaves and how to write on them using ink, calamus or brush!

Saturday, November 23rd. Children's workshop The mosaic factory. Participants between 7 and 11 years old. How to learn and work with this decorative technique!

Saturday, December 14th. Storytelling in antiquity. Participants between 6 and 10 years old. Myth reading followed by a craft.

Saturday, January 18, 2025. The mosaic factory workshop, this time for adults.

All workshops will start at 5:30 p.m. and will be free of charge, with a duration of approximately one and a half hours. It will be necessary to reserve a place by calling 985208977 during the opening hours of the museum.
