TRIBUTE TO ARCHAEOLOGIST CARLOS PÉREZ SUÁREZ (1956 - 2023)

TRIBUTE TO ARCHAEOLOGIST CARLOS PÉREZ SUÁREZ (1956 - 2023)

Date: 8 March 2024

Time: 6 p.m.

The Archaeological Museum of Asturias wishes to remember the figure of this great archaeologist with a day in which the most relevant themes to which he devoted his efforts will be reviewed in the light of the research carried out in recent years. His excavations at sites such as the Sierra Plana de la Borbolla (Llanes) or the caves of Arangas (Cabrales) have contributed to a better definition of aspects of regional prehistory that were barely known before his work, such as the Mesolithic of the inland areas, the Neolihic or the beginnings of the Metal Ages. Various colleagues who shared with Carlos Pérez many intense days of field archaeology and, above all, his friendship and kindness, will take part.
