DAY OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDIES ON THE POTTERY CENTER OF FARO DE LIMANES OVIEDOEP

Friday in October in the assembly hall of the Museum will be held

DAY OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDIES ON THE POTTERY CENTER OF FARO DE LIMANES OVIEDO

The aim of this conference on archaeological studies on the pottery centre of Faro de Limanes is to disseminate the latest research and to outline new and innovative lines of work on the archaeological studies carried out at Faro de Limanes (Oviedo). The ceramic production centre of Faro de Limanes is one of the most important potteries in the north of the Iberian Peninsula due to the great diffusion achieved by its pieces and its uninterrupted production from at least the 11th century to the present day. For this reason, its pottery is a key element for understanding the Middle Ages and modern Asturias. The Archaeological Museum of Asturias, as the custodian of our object of study, is the ideal place for the development of the conference.
