From 12 July 2024 to 29 September 2024 , Tito Bustillo Centre (Ribadesella)

The exhibition, organised by the UNED, shows the results of the latest research carried out at the sites in the Sella basin by the research teams of the CantabricOIS2 project, which is being carried out in the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology of the UNED under the direction of Jesús F. Jordá Pardo, and PaleonTheMove, which is carried out in the Department of Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology of the University of Salamanca under the direction of Esteban Álvarez Fernández, as well as by other research teams from the Complutense University of Madrid and the Centre for Archaeological, Prehistoric and Palaeontological Research and Studies of the Cantabrian Quaternary. They have generated an important volume of results on the life and activities of the populations of anatomically modern humans that inhabited the Sella valley and nearby areas at the end of the Upper Pleistocene (OIS 2, 23-11.6 ka cal BP) and the beginning of the Holocene.
