The burial of a shepherdess of Puertu Cuera at the dawn of the age of iron.

A few years ago took place this casual of a skeleton, well-preserved discovery belonging to a young Shepherdess who was buried almost 3,000 years ago in a covacha of Puertu Cuera. Studies allowed to inquire into its physical characteristics and main conditions of life, constituting one of the few funeral testimonies of the Cantabrian region during the first Millennium before Christ, undoubtedly one of the most enigmatic stages in the treatment of death.

The meeting is organized by the Association of friends of the Museum within The Cycle of Death in the Museum.

Rosa Barroso Bermejo, is doctor and Professor of prehistory of the University of Alcalá de Henares, where he developed an intense investigation into the peninsular megalithic culture, and led the team responsible for the study of the remains of Fuentenegroso.
