The tomb of a hunter from 11,000 years ago. The Burial azilian in the cave of Los Azules (Cangas de Onís)

by Pablo Arias Cabal, Professor of prehistory of the University of Cantabria

The transcendental consciousness of death is one of the more specific aspects of humanity and has inspired a wide variety of religious beliefs, burial rituals and social behaviors over the past. Among the material evidence linked to the world of death this museum shows to the public this azilian burial released in 1974 by Professor Juan Fernández - Tresguerres.
The meeting is organized by the Association of friends of the Museum within the cycle of The death in the Museum
