APIAA Association of Independent Professional Archaeology of Asturias, organizes a conference dedicated to the German Archaeological Institute.:

• 18:00. D. Fructuoso Diaz will make a brief introduction to what means the German Archaeological Institute (D.A.I.) and its relationship to Asturias.

•18. 20 The Director of the Institute A. German, Dr. Dirce Marzoli will talk about his excavations of deposits of the Phoenician period in the environment of the Western Mediterranean.

•19:15 Dr. Thomas G. Schattner, archaeologist, will focus their research on the peninsular Roman world, highlighting interesting castro de Monte do Facho (Morrazo).

The German Archaeological Institute in Madrid was born of the personal effort of a researcher associated with the pre-Romanesque Asturian as Helmut Schlunk, collaborator of Luis Menéndez Pidal and Magin Berenguer, which focused a remarkable library whose main theme was the heritage from the German Cultural Institute. Of its current headquarters in Madrid should highlight their valuable photo library and its prestigious library funds. Today is moving ahead with his work of excavation and archaeological research and with this day is approaching the Asturian public to show their work and able to enjoy and value the heritage to the same extent as the German Institute
